Passwords
Your Chromebook uses your Microsoft Active Directory (AD) network password. This is also the password that is used by Box, Outlook, Teams, and VPN. While your Chromebook doesn't use a separate password, it does cache, or store, your password locally on the device.
Changing your password
If you use a Chromebook you will need to follow this process to change your password:
Visit https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/ChangePassword.aspx to change your Active Directory password. (If you've forgotten your password and the Support Center has reset it for you, skip this step.)
Sign out of your Chromebook. (At the bottom right, select the time. Then select Sign out.)
Press Shift + Ctrl + Alt + R and select Restart
When the Chromebook restarts, select Powerwash.
